Colors
The core Seattle Central color is PMS (Pantone Matching System) 640, which is a rich shade of blue. When printing the Seattle Central logo, the image should always be printed using PMS 640 (when using two-color printing), or in black (one-color printing). The words Seattle Central will always be in black. The words community college are lowercase and will be in PMS 640.
Example:

“Seattle Central” in black
“community college” in PMS 640.
The Pantone Matching System (PMS) is a standardized color reproduction system. It is a “universal language” among printers and designers that ensure all players are using the same color. For this reason, if you are working with a printer, web developer or designer, it is essential that you use the PMS number to identify the correct color. NOTE: Colors display differently on computer monitors than they do in print. Moreover, every monitor is calibrated differently and will display colors a little differently.
PMS 640 is an updated version of the blue palette that Seattle Central has used for 30 years. In part, it was chosen because it is part of the history of the college. In the coming months, we will add accent colors to create a complete color palette.
