Student Parent Support Program

The Child Care Assistance Program offers funding, information, and referral resources to students desiring childcare assistance while attending school. The Child Care Assistance Program offers the following:

  • Quarterly need–based funding for a portion of child care costs
  • The Parent Resource Club
  • The Parent Resource Fair
  • General childcare resource information

Do I qualify for funding?

To be eligible, students must be enrolled in credit bearing classes and meet a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.0. Individual award amounts will be based on the total number of applications received, financial need of applicants, and the amount of funds available. Please note that if awarded, funds will only be issued to pay licensed child care providers.

How to Get Started

For first time applicants of the 2017–2018 school year, please fill out and submit this application by the 10th day of the quarter.

For students who have filled out their first application for a previous quarter during the 17–18 school year, please fill out and submit this application by the 10th day of the quarter.

What is the Parent Resource Club?

The purpose of our club is to provide an avenue for student–parents to network, support each other, and share information and tips.

Parent Resource Fair

Several times a year, we organize a campus event to showcase our many partner community organizations who can provide help to parents. We include such organizations as HeadStart, Child Care Resources of King County, and Neighborhood House.

What general child care information is available?

We are available for drop–in consultation to answer your questions or concerns about alternative funding sources, low cost family activities, organizations providing clothing, holiday gift resources, etc.
