College Transfer Degrees

Start your college career at Seattle Central! You’ll enjoy smaller classes with instructors who know your name. And our tuition is HALF the price of a four-year college.

Please Note: College Transfer students must see an advisor before or at 45 credits to develop a long-range degree plan. You will receive a letter from the Advising Office when you reach 45 credits.

Associate Degrees

The Associate of Arts (AA-DTA) and the Associate of Science (AS-DTA) degrees are designed for students who are planning to transfer to a four-year college/university. Both degrees consist of 90 credits and fulfill some or all of the general education requirements for most four-year colleges in Washington State.

Associate of Arts

  • AA Degree
  • The AA-DTA degree provides preparation for a liberal arts education major.

Associate of Science

  • AS Degree
  • The AS-DTA degree is designed to prepare students to go into science related majors.
  • AS-T Option 1 provides preparation for specific majors such as Biological Sciences, Environmental Science, Earth Sciences, Chemistry, and Geology.
  • AS-T Option 2 provides preparation for specific majors such as Atmospheric Sciences, Computer Science, Engineering, and Physics.

Associate of Applied Science-Transfer

Some professional/technical degrees and certificates will transfer to four-year schools.

Bachelor Degree

If you have earned an A.A.S. degree in Social & Human Services or Interpreter Training, you are eligible to apply to Seattle Central's new bachelor degree program. See http://seattlecentral.edu/BAS/ for more information.

DTA/MRP

The Associate in Elementary Education (DTA/MRP) and the Associate in Math Education (DTA/MRP) transfer degrees consist of 90 credits outlining required courses for transferring to a teacher education program at a college or university in Washington State.
